These factors contribute to feelings of anxiety and burnout. For this reason, we can say that though the holiday season is joyous, it can also be a significant source of stress.

Why are holidays so stressful?

Holidays can be stressful due to a combination of factors including the pressure to create a perfect celebration, financial strain from gift-giving, travel logistics, family dynamics, the need to attend numerous events, and the potential for social comparison, all of which can lead to feelings of overwhelm and anxiety, especially when coupled with the added expectations of happiness and togetherness.
